After the election, I experienced burnout and learned I needed extra help with executive functioning skills. I used this experience to create an app called Aloe Bud that would allow people like me to check in with themselves throughout the day to see which areas of self-care needed attention.

For a brief time, I worked at Google as a Community Manager in the Social Lab. I assisted the social media team with their day-to-day work, including searching for posts to engage with, campaign planning and management, and writing their official Community Management Strategy Guide.

After Femsplain, I was hired at Roc Nation a major record label to manage the social media accounts of both artists and the brand itself. During that time I was recruited to work on the 2016 campaign for Hillary Clinton and brought awareness to the IWillVote.com website, which brought in record-breaking registration across the country.

About me

I grew up all over the country. Moving so much gave me a jump start on learning how to communicate, and make new friends, acquaintances, and business connections as I grew older.

Communicating through social media has always been second nature for me. I received my first job at an agency at 23 years old where, without a degree, I was able to create one of the best examples of “How to do social” for a corporate brand.

“Denny’s, according to Digg, is the “best brand Tumblr,” and this is because it’s not “desperate or fake or trying too hard. It’s just simple, great content that gets people thinking about their brand.” Denny’s has gotten tons of new customers with its strategy.” - business2community

This achievement had me noticed by Tumblr, the groundbreaking social media blogging platform that defined internet culture for a period. From there, I started the online storytelling community Femsplain. A platform where women, femme, and non-binary people could come to share their personal essays.
